LCG Foods engaged in a discussion with the founder of Atwood Heritage, Jonathan and Marie Ropp, to better understand the brand's mission, core values, and other topics that we thought our retail partners might want to know.

What motivated you to start your company and create the products that we see today? Atwood Heritage was started by Noah Martin in the 1950s, he had a passion for making a good-tasting summer sausage that his neighbors enjoyed eating. In 1962, with the demand for his good-tasting summer sausage, he started manufacturing summer sausage to sell. In 2011, the current owners, Jonathan and Marie, purchased the business from Noah Martin's granddaughter. Jonathan had been working in construction and was looking for an opportunity to work together as a family. As the company grew we expanded into a federal facility in 2018 and after experiencing some difficulties especially during the 2 years of COVID we experimented and created the Game Meat and Grass-fed Angus Beef selection of our products, with rebranding, new packaging, and hard work we are building a successful product line that consumers are loving and looking to add to their healthy snack options.
