What motivated you to start your company and create the products that we see today? 

We started Green Sun Foods to fill a gap we saw in the market—snacks that are not only delicious and clean but also rooted in purpose. We wanted to create products made with real ingredients and no shortcuts, while uplifting the people behind them—Fairtrade farmers, women, and newcomers. Our motivation has always been to build something bigger than a snack: a brand that creates impact with every bite.

What are some challenges you've had to overcome to bring your business to its current state?

Bringing Green Sun Foods to life meant starting from scratch in a new country, with no local network, no confirmed buyers, and everything on the line. We faced the challenge of launching a brand in a competitive market while navigating logistics, certifications, and retail entry as newcomers. But through relentless perseverance, purpose-driven storytelling, and a clear vision, we turned risk into growth, scaling to hundreds of stores across Canada.
