My journey towards wellness and healthy living.

I am in my late fifties, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve prided myself on living a healthy lifestyle. I have maintained the same weight I had in university. I exercise regularly, I eat relatively well, and I prioritize my sleep.

Despite all of this, a few years ago, I received a diagnosis that did not fit my lifestyle: pre-diabetes. It was a wake-up call, but also a source of great frustration. It was proof that sometimes, a healthy diet and exercise are not enough to overcome a genetic predisposition.  Despite my best efforts, my family history of diabetes had caught up to me.  I joined the same club as all my aunts and uncles on my mom's side, as well as some of my siblings and cousins.  After a bit of research on the internet, I realized that the club was a lot bigger than I had at first anticipated.  As it turned out, in Canada alone, more than 11 million Canadians are either diabetic or pre-diabetic.

This is when I realized I needed a different tool in my health arsenal—something that could support my body’s specific needs and still be a simple, delicious part of my day. I looked at the market and saw a gap. Traditional sodas were out of the question with all their sugar. Other ‘healthy’ drinks were either full of artificial ingredients or did not offer a functional benefit that truly targeted my metabolic health.

For my family, for the busy parents who need a healthy option for themselves and their teenagers, and for my peers who are facing similar health challenges—I wanted something that could appeal to everyone. Something that tasted great, so you would not have to choose between flavour and function.

That is when I decided to create my own solution. I was not just making a soda; I was making a tool for my own health; and a mission to help others like me. I focused on a blend of natural, purposeful ingredients:
